While college is all about preparing students for the future and teaching them what they need to know to be successful in their chosen fields, Angie Chrestman wants to put them to work.
As director of the Cooperative Education Program, Angie helps students connect with job opportunities related to their fields of study to help give them practical, hands-on experience.
Open to students in all majors, and with nearly 1,200 currently participating, the Cooperative Education Program allows students to develop the experience and responsibility they need to have an edge when entering the job market.
Angie said meeting and building relationships with the students is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.
“This position is about establishing relationships internally and letting that filter to the student. My greatest enjoyment is working with students and helping them create the best opportunities for their futures in their chosen careers.”
