STARKVILLE, Miss.—A senior Mississippi State administrator will return to the university in a new but familiar faculty role effective July 1.

Gregory A. Bohach, who served as vice president for the Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine (DAFVM) since 2009, has been on a leave of absence due to an extended illness. On July 1, he will assume a full-time position as a professor in the MSU Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Entomology and Plant Pathology.

MSU President Mark E. Keenum said, “I have greatly appreciated working with Greg. He has done an outstanding job in leading the division over the past nine years. I know he will be an exceptional member of the faculty.”

Bohach has held a faculty appointment in the department since 2009, as well as adjunct faculty status in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s basic sciences department.

On March 25, Keenum named veteran MSU agriculture administrator Reuben Moore as interim vice president of DAFVM. Keenum said Moore will continue to serve in that role.

“These changes will foster an important continuity of leadership in this extremely vital area of MSU’s core educational, research and service mission,” said Keenum.
