STARKVILLE, Miss.—Members of the award-winning a cappella ensemble known as “m-pact” are sharing their world-renowned vocal talents during a Dec. 5 Lyceum Series performance at Mississippi State University.
Hailed as “one of the best pop-jazz vocal, a cappella groups in the world” by the San Francisco Chronicle, m-pact will perform a holiday show at 7 p.m. in Bettersworth Auditorium on the first floor of Lee Hall.
MSU students with valid student I.D. will be admitted free. All other ticket purchases may be made online at http://events.msstate.edu. If available, individual tickets may be purchased at the door before the show, which is part of the university’s long-running performing arts program.
Based in Los Angeles, m-pact is respected worldwide as a cutting-edge trailblazer in the realm of vocal music. Emerging from an age of auto-tune and overproduction, the group is celebrating 20 years of music and touring and has cultivated a new generation of ears hungry for the fresh, raw power of nature’s “first instrument”—the human voice. The group’s albums have been highly praised, winning a variety of a cappella awards, as well as Best Unsigned Band from Billboard Magazine. For more, visit www.m-pact.com.
