Budgeting tech, small business seminars offered at local MSU Extension office
How to utilize budgeting technology and start a small business are topics for back-to-back seminars Thursday [Oct. 4] at MSU Extension’s Oktibbeha County Office.
In partnership with MSU Extension, BancorpSouth and the Starkville Housing Authority are sponsoring the sessions at the 106 Felix Long Drive location.
Bekah Sparks, MSU instructor for the Extension Center for Tech Outreach, will speak from 10-11 a.m. about current budgeting apps for smartphones. Her talk will help participants with the basics of money management and include how couponing can save money.
Chip Templeton, director of the Small Business Development Center in MSU’s College of Business, will cover the basic steps to start a business from 11 a.m. – noon.
Complimentary pizza and refreshments will be served at both seminars.
