STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State’s Department of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development will host an open house, Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23. The event begins at 1 p.m. each day in the university’s Industrial Education Building.

Open to all, the open house event is an opportunity for participants to learn more about the on-campus and new online Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology degree programs.

The industrial technology curriculum is designed for students who want to prepare for employment leading to supervisory and management positions in the production, automation or maintenance areas of industry.

“We are pleased that we now offer the bachelor’s degree in industrial technology both on campus and online,” said Trey Martindale, department head. “The open house will be an excellent chance for all who are considering this degree to learn about career options, co-op opportunities and curriculum.”

Faculty, staff and advisers will be on-hand to share their professional expertise, provide program materials and answer questions.  Participants can tour the facility and see cutting-edge equipment.
