Theatre MSU hosts Oxford Players one-act play

This Friday [March 20], Theatre MSU and the Department of Communication will host the Oxford Players, who will present a free performance of Edward Albee’s critically acclaimed one-act play, "The Zoo Story." The performance will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the McComas Theatre and is open to all. The 50-minute performance will be followed by a talk back with the cast.
The 1958 play examines themes of “isolation, loneliness, miscommunication as anathematization, social disparity and dehumanization in a commercial world.” It is considered by many theatre scholars to be an American Classic, as well as a key example of the one-act structure and absurdism.
The Oxford Players’ production had a successful run in 2014 and received awards and critical acclaim. Theatre MSU and the Department of Communication are happy to provide MSU students the opportunity to see it.
