Biochemistry Club sponsoring lab olympics Tuesday

The Biochemistry Club at Mississippi State University is sponsoring the second-annual Lab Olympics on Tuesday [Feb. 24] at 6:30 p.m. in Dorman Hall, Room 221.

Teams of three can register to compete in four stations, which will consist of biochemistry, chemistry, forensics, and logic. One trivia question also will be included at each station in addition to an experiment/activity. This year's theme is a murder mystery, and teams will work against the clock to solve the mystery using their lab experience.

Activities will be at a basic level, but teamwork and efficiency will be essential. Students are invited to come and put their skills to the test.

Registration may be completed through Monday [Feb. 23] by emailing bchclubmsstate@gmail.com with a team name, individual member names and net IDs. A $3 entry fee will be payable at the beginning of the event for teams who have pre-registered. The fee will be $5 for teams who choose to register at the door.

The top two teams will win prizes and will be awarded certificates. Third place also will receive an award certificate.
