America's Sunday Supper event coming up Jan. 18
Inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision of people of diverse backgrounds interacting on personal levels, America's Sunday Supper encourages people to share a meal and discuss issues that affect their communities, to increase racial and cultural understanding and, to promote unity.
The President's Interfaith & Community Service Campus Challenge will host an America's Sunday Supper at on Jan. 18 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Starkville. A discussion on interfaith and hunger will begin at 4 p.m. with the dinner to follow shortly after.
Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to volunteer at a local food pantry during MLK Week. For a list of projects and instructions on how to sign up, please visit www.mvc.msstate.edu/blog/mlk-day-2015.
