U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., today [Nov. 10] encouraged college students to apply for a spring 2015 internship in his Mississippi or Washington offices. The D.C. internship program runs from January to May, and in-state internships operate under a similar schedule.
âInternships give students firsthand experience to participate in the legislative process,â Wicker said. âWorking in a congressional office is a unique way to learn about public service. I urge students to apply for this opportunity to serve the people of Mississippi in one of my offices.â
An application and more information about the intern program can be found at www.wicker.senate.gov.
Applications for 2015 spring internships are due by Saturday [Nov. 15].
Internships in Wickerâs state offices are available in Gulfport, Hernando, Jackson and Tupelo.
