The Mississippi State University Minority and Women Vendor Fair will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday [Oct. 14] at the Hunter Henry Center on the Starkville campus.
This special event seeks to broaden the base of suppliers doing business with the MSU. Department representatives will have an opportunity to meet and exchange information with a variety of potential vendors and obtain procurement training provided by the Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Minority Business Alliance and WhereToGo411.
Suppliers represented include minority-, women-, veteran- and service-disabled-veteran-owned businesses, as well as HUBZone-located businesses.
Additionally, featured speakers during the day include MSU President Mark E. Keenum and Marvin Smith, the president of Spectrum Marketing Group who will deliver the luncheon keynote, "The Power of Social Media and Email."
Vendors and MSU employees may register at www.oidi.msstate.edu/vendor_fair. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited.
