Stennis forum to feature Mississippi journalists

Emily Wagster Pettus of the Associated Press, Bobby Harrison of the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal and Geoff Pender of The Clarion-Ledger -- aka The Capitol Gang -- will take a look back at the 2014 session of the Mississippi Legislature through the eyes of a journalist during the upcoming meeting of the Stennis Institute-Capitol Press Forum.

A panel discussion format will be used with the Stennis Institute's Phil Hardwick serving as moderator. The audience will also be invited to submit questions.

The forum will be held on Monday [April 21] from noon to 1 p.m. at The Capital Club at 125 South Congress Street on the 19th floor in downtown Jackson. The event is open to the public and you are invited to attend. However, registration by noon on Friday [April 18] is required.

No doubt, the gang will be asked questions about upcoming political races and state politics in general. It promises to be an enlightening forum, Hardwick said.

To register, please send an email to phil.hardwick@msstate.edu. The cost to attend is $20, payable at the door (make checks payable to Stennis Institute).
