MORE INFO: Electrical and computer engineering seniors at Mississippi State will showcase their capstone design projects at an open house Thursday, April 24. The public event begins at 2 p.m. in Simrall Hall and will last until 5 p.m.

The open house gives seniors a chance to demonstrate their engineering skills with their one-of-a-kind creations that have been developed this year.

Fourteen teams will have their designs on display including an autonomous lawnmower, a smart thermostat and an aerial home surveillance device. The 2014 IEEE Southeast Conference robotics championship team will also present their sharp-shooting entry at the open house.

Each design team consists of four to six seniors in electrical and computer engineering majors and a faculty advisor.
