Art department presents '42nd Student Juried Exhibition'

Mississippi State's art department in the College of Architecture, Art and Design will present the "42nd Student Juried Exhibition" March 4-28 in the Department of Art Gallery at McComas Hall.

More than 70 pieces in the exhibit include works selected by fine art judge Wesley Grissom, assistant director of the J. Johnson Gallery in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and graphic design judge Joel Anderson, owner/creative director for the Anderson Design Group in Nashville, Tenn.

The public is invited to a reception on March 27 from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery. The department will honor students with awards and prizes. Light refreshments will be served.

The Department of Art Gallery in McComas Hall is open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The department's art galleries present museum shows, traveling exhibits, student shows, group and solo exhibitions by professional artists, and special events.
