‘Making a Difference for Women’ essay contest open

The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) at Mississippi State was created in the late 1970s to advise the university’s president on issues affecting women.

The purpose of the PCSW Student Leadership Award is to recognize and develop leadership skills for outstanding undergraduate women as their work enriches the lives and experiences of others. The theme for this year's award essay is "Making a Difference for Women."

MSU students are invited to submit a 900 to 1,000 word essay describing their campus involvement, field of study, community service and related work as it impacts and improves the lives of women.

Include a resume of accomplishments, awards, honors, previous experience, as well as detailed career plans for future work and service.
