Writing Center goes mobile in library’s IMC

The Writing Center at Mississippi State University has set up a “mobile center” in the Instructional Media Center, located on the second floor of Mitchell Memorial Library.

“There will be two tutors on duty to assist students with any type of writing assignment. We work with students from all over campus, not just those in English classes. We provide students with individual help at any part of the writing process,” said Sarah Sneed, director of the MSU Writing Center.

The mobile writing center will be open Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m. MSU students may stop by at any point during the hours for assistance. Reservations are not required.

“We are pleased to be partnering with the Writing Center and offering their tutors space in the IMC to work with students who need help with their writing,” said Pattye Archer, coordinator of the IMC. “It makes great sense for the mobile writing center to be here in the library, and specifically in the IMC where the students and tutors have access to computers should they need them.”
