The Third-Annual MSU Piano Retreat takes place Saturday [Jan. 25]. Sponsored by the Department of Music, it is a special event for young pianists entering grades 6-12 who have studied piano for at least two years.
The dayâs activities include classroom instruction, creative classes, piano lessons and a final piano recital featuring the students. Students will experience college life on a major university campus.
Interested members of the public are invited to visit the retreat by attending the music classes and lessons. Classes are open to teachers, parents and music lovers from 9-11:50 a.m. and 12:45-1:20 p.m. in Music Buildings B and C.
The public is also invited to the final student piano recital in Giles Architecture Building's auditorium at 4:30 p.m.
