The Special Events and Game Day Operations Committee has approved specific parking recommendations that will be followed for the home football game with the University of Kentucky on Oct. 24 -- a Thursday night game.

On Wednesday [Oct. 23] the Junction opens at 4 p.m. At 5 p.m., RV Lots 34 and 38 will be closed to the public.

Faculty and staff will be permitted to park in their regular parking lots until noon on Thursday. After noon, these lots will convert to game day parking.

Game day parking will also be in effect for students.

Personnel who are asked to work Thursday afternoon [Oct. 24] should move their vehicles to the game worker parking area behind the IED building. The owners of any cars not moved at noon will be contacted and asked to relocate their vehicles. After a short period of time, any cars that have not been moved will be relocated to the back of the parking lot behind the IED building.

On Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Creelman Street and Stone Blvd. will close.

The Game Day Parking Assistance Center will open at 11 a.m., and can be reached at 662-325-9114.

A map of game day parking lots may be viewed in the 2013 Fan Guide at www.fanguide.msstate.edu/pdf/fanguide-print.pdf.

Thank you for your assistance in making sure that the university is able to efficiently and safely accommodate large numbers of visitors.
