MSU Yoga Moves will hold a workshop, "The Power of Your Breath and Your Intention in Yoga Practice," on Oct. 20 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Studio C of the Sanderson Center.
Join guest yoga teacher Tania Shanti Bayne, MS, LPC, RYT, of Shanti Yoga and Counseling in this two-hour yoga workshop to deepen your yoga practice and refine the manifestation of your intentions in your yoga practice and your life. You will also learn pranayama (breathwork) techniques to affect your energy level, and your mood, reduce your stress, and ultimately, to help you find your optimal emotional balance and peace of mind (your natural state of being).
Bayne is a Sivananda Certified Yoga Teacher with over eight years of teaching experience on the Gulf Coast. She has a psychosomatic approach integrating the science of psychology and the ancient practices of yoga and meditation in creative therapeutic modalities. She is fascinated by the healing power of yoga -- on physical, emotional and spiritual levels.
The workshop is free to MSU students, faculty and staff with Sanderson Center access. Those without Sanderson Center access may attend by purchasing a $10 day pass. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. Mats are provided to those who do not have one.
Those unable to attend the workshop but interested in yoga are welcome to attend MSU Yoga Moves' weekly practices on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. in Studio C of the Sanderson Center.
