Maroon Money Management session Wednesday

The Maroon Money Management program at Mississippi State University is hosting a series of seminars this fall designed to help students take control of their finances by sharing practical tools and skills.

The next session, “Where Has All The Money Gone? Cutting Expenses and Managing Student Accounts,” takes place Wednesday [Oct. 16] at 3:30 p.m. in the Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 50.

Additional sessions include:

-- “There’s No Such Thing As Free Schooling: Student Loans,” Oct. 21, 3:30 p.m., Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 50.

-- “Taking Credit for Your Credit: Credit Card Debt/Management and Identity Protection,” Oct. 30, 3:30 p.m. Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 50.

-- “Work Hard, Play Hard: Choosing a Profession and Choosing a Profitable Major,” Nov. 6, 3:30 p.m., Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 50 and Computer Lab.

-- “Covering Your Assets: Saving, Investing and Protecting Assets,” Nov. 19, 3:30 p.m., Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 75.

-- “Two Necessary Evils: Taxes and Insurance,” Dec. 5, 3:30 p.m. Lloyd-Ricks-Watson Building, Room 50.

Participants are encouraged to attend with laptops or iPads, but they are not necessary.
