Join us Sept. 27-29 for a weekend-long adventure at the Global Village within the Heifer Project Ranch in Perry County, Arkansas. The Heifer Project is an international aid organization, providing agricultural and educational resources to impoverished communities around the world. In connection with the Maroon Edition and Richard Mullerâs book "Physics for Future Presidents," students will learn about Heiferâs global operations, meet the animals, visit the organic farm and have a unique opportunity to experience global poverty â a significant challenge for any future president. We will stay in developing world conditions, work together, and improve understanding of global poverty. This trip is an excellent opportunity for students who want to improve their leadership skills, build their community service portfolio or just spend a fun weekend on a beautiful farm.
This trip is FREE TO MSU STUDENTS, but space is limited and registration ends Sept. 12, or whenever the trip is full. It is a rustic setting, so bring a sense of adventure and come ready to get in close contact with nature.
