Ronnie Dunn

For 20 years, Ronnie Dunn was half of country music’s most award-winning duo. Since Brooks & Dunn’s 2010 farewell tour, he has been ramping up a solo career with considerable success. Dunn’s self-titled solo album debuted in 2011, launching hits including “Bleed Red,” “Cost of Livin’,” and “Let the Cowboy Rock.” Fans of the acclaimed country music entertainer can hear him in concert at the MSU Riley Center on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. A pre-show will take place at 6 p.m.

Dunn was born in Texas to a truck-driving, country-music-singing father and a conservative, church-going mother. In 1990, he moved from Oklahoma to Nashville where he met Kix Brooks. With a monumental farewell tour in 2010, Brooks and Dunn began new chapters in their careers as solo artists. After the debut of his first solo album, Dunn launched Little Will-E Records in 2013 and also released his first single, “Kiss You There,” with HitShop Records.

As a duo, Brooks & Dunn were at the top of the country music singles charts 23 times with songs like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” and “Red Dirt Road.” They are the industry’s most award-winning duo and were named Entertainers of the Year four times. They garnered 20 Country Music Association Awards and 28 Academy of Country Music Awards—more than any other artist in ACM history, surpassing the legendary Merle Haggard in 2005.

Tickets are $69 and $63 at the MSU Riley Center box office, which is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.msurileycenter.com or by calling the box office at 601-696-2200.
