MSU chemistry department sets golf tournament fundraiser

STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State's chemistry department is announcing its second golf tournament scholarship fundraiser.

To be held April 6 at the University Golf Course, the public event is a four-person scramble, limited to 25 teams or a total of 100 golfers. Proceeds will support a series of one-year undergraduate scholarships.

Registration completed online before March 30 at http://chemistry.msstate.edu/golf_tourney/tournament_2013.php will include one free mulligan per team member.

Registration on tournament day begins at 8 a.m., followed by a snack breakfast at 8:30. The shotgun start takes place at 9 a.m.

Tournament rules, set by the MSU Institute of Golf, will have male participants beginning at the Cowbell tees; females, the Aggie tees; and all age 65 and over, the Maroon tees.

A Starkville Café-catered barbecue lunch concludes the activities.
