The tragic incident at Sandy Hook Elementary School saddens us greatly, but also serves as a reminder that violent acts such as this can occur anywhere or at anytime. The Mississippi State University Police Department routinely trains for such events. Students, faculty and staff should always be prepared to respond and react to incidents on campus.
