The Holmes Cultural Diversity Center is constantly coordinating culturally enlightening and educational programs for faculty, staff, students and the university community. To commemorate and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, the center will host a Candlelight Vigil on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m., in the Junction.
The vigil will include musical salutes by MSU's Black Voices Choir and the Doss Family Singers, a tribute by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and a keynote address on "Upholding the Legacy" by Dr. Michael Williams, assistant professor of history. In the event of rain or extreme cold, the event will take place in the Foster Ballroom of the Colvard Student Union.
