Upcoming photography conference needs volunteers

The MSU Department of Art and Department of Communication are hosting the Society for Photographic Education South Central Conference on Oct 25-28. For this major regional photography conference on the MSU campus, volunteers are needed. This is open to all students and not limited only to photography students. Volunteers will be expected to work a minimum of five hours at the conference.

Volunteers will receive free conference registration, a free t-shirt, and may attend a workshop exclusively for volunteers led by one of the conference's major speakers, Susan Burnstine, on Thursday, Oct. 25. To view Susan Burnstine's work, click here.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the inner workings of a large regional conference and meet professionals from around the country. Forms are available in the Department of Art Main Office in Freeman Hall, Room 120. Freeman Hall is located in Garner Circle near Garner Hall, which houses the offices of the Registrar and Financial Aid. Students may contact the SPESC co-chairs, Professor Marita Gootee or Assistant Professor Dominic Lippillo, in the Department of Art, or Assistant Professor Wendy Roussin in the Department of Communication. Deadline for enrollment is Sept. 18.
