Cobb is final speaker for CHASES Lecture Series

The MSU Center for the History of Agriculture, Science, and the Environment in the South (CHASES) and the history department will host the final event of the CHASES Lecture Series on Wednesday [April 4], at 4 p.m., in the Swalm Chemical Engineering Building, Room 001. Dr. James C. Cobb, Spalding Distinguished Professor of History at the University of Georgia, will deliver the address "From 'King Cotton' to the Sunbelt: The Rural South and the Global Economy."

Cobb is a leading authority on the history of the American South. He is the author of eight books, including The Most Southern Place on Earth: The Mississippi Delta and the Roots of Regional Identity.
