Starkville/MSU symphony gets 'Romantic' next month

The Starkville/Mississippi State University Symphony Orchestra will perform March 3 on campus.

Titled "Romantic Rendezvous II," the free 7:30 p.m. concert in the Bettersworth Auditorium of Lee Hall will feature selections from the Romantic period (1810-1900).

Works by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg and Germany's Johannes Brahms will be featured.

The new MSU student orchestra Philharmonia will join the orchestra for the program's opening piece, conducted by Richard Human, associate professor of music.
