The award-winning Acting Company will perform Thursday [Feb. 23] for Mississippi State University's 2011-12 Lyceum Series.
A touring classical theater, the Acting Company will perform William Shakespeare's tragedy "Julius Caesar," which blends historical events with tragic elements and compelling language.
The program begins at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Hall's Bettersworth Auditorium. General admission tickets for $15 are still available and may be purchased at www.lyceum.msstate.edu.
The Acting Company promotes theater and literacy while giving young American actors an opportunity to practice their craft in a repertory of classic plays and new works. The company also provides education programs in disadvantaged schools.
Performing for more than 3 million people in 48 states and 10 foreign countries, the Acting Company has been honored with numerous awards including the Obie, Audelco, Los Angeles Critics Circle Award and a TONY for Excellence in Theater.
