For the fifth consecutive year, student-athletes across the Southeastern Conference are joining forces to help the community. All 12 SEC schools will participate in the 2011 Together We CAN Drive, benefiting regional food banks and shelters. The deadline to turn in non-perishable canned foods is Monday [Oct. 3].
The M-Club and MSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) have partnered with the MSU Student Association and MSU Alumni Association to work together for the league-wide effort. Regrettably, MSU finished last in the SEC in the 2010 event, so let's change that this year.
Collection points are at the Templeton Athletic Academic Center, the Atrium of McCool Hall, Taylor Auditorium Foyer of McCool Hall and the Center for Student Involvement in Colvard Union, Suite 314. Dropoffs can be made from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
