Landscape architecture at MSU honors alumni of the year

STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State's landscape architecture department is honoring four alumni for contributions to the profession and environmental sustainability.

Recognized at a recent campus awards banquet were:

--Thomas H. Eaves of Hattiesburg, Alumni Benefactor of the Year. A 1973 graduate, he is sole proprietor of an award-winning Hattiesburg landscape architecture and site planning firm (www.thomasheaves.com/).

--Paul N. Fields of Dallas, Texas, Most Outstanding Alumni Member of the Year. A 1989 graduate, he is president and senior landscape architect of Lambert Landscape Co. (www.lamberts.net/splash.html).

--Lea Ann and Whit Macknally of Birmingham, Ala., Alumni Members of the Year. Graduates in 2000 and 1999, respectively, they lead Macknally Ross Land Design (http://macknallyross.net/). She is president, while he serves as vice president.
