With Saturday's 6 p.m. football game against Kentucky coinciding with Halloween, the Mississippi State University Alumni Association will provide candy and other treats for kids under its Junction alumni tent, while supplies last.
"We want this to be a special time for kids who might otherwise be trick-or-treating," said Jimmy Abraham, associate vice president and executive director of alumni activities.
In addition to the traditional face-painting and MSU pom poms, the Alumni Association will hand out candy from 2:30-5:15 p.m. to youngsters to mark the annual "trick-or-treat" event.
"We hope this adds to the game-day atmosphere and provides a safe, controlled way for children to enjoy the goodies that Halloween offers," Abraham said.
