Jazz artist kicks off Lyceum Series Tuesday night

Mississippi State's annual performing arts series opens Oct. 5 with a solo performance by Grammy-award winning jazz guitarist Earl Klugh.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. Lyceum Series event in the Bettersworth Auditorium of historic Lee Hall are $15; $12 for senior citizens and faculty/staff; and $3 for children 3-12. Individual tickets may be purchased at the door.

In a career spanning more than three decades, Klugh has racked up 12 Grammy nominations, 23 Top Ten Billboard Jazz Chart albums and scores of other awards. He has recorded more than 30 albums, including the 2009 Grammy-nominated "The Spice of Life."
