The Standing Joint Legislative Committee on Reapportionment will commence its schedule of hearings to assist it and its sister committee, the Standing Joint Committee on Congressional Redistricting, in collecting public input on the redistricting process.
The schedule will include 12 public hearings to be conducted across the state at public facilities during August and September. The Committee encourages members of the public and press to attend and ask questions about redistricting for both the legislature and Congress and raise any concerns or make comments about these important topics.
One of the meetings will be held on the MSU campus in the Colvard Student Union Ballroom at 10:30am on August 21.
