STARKVILLE, Miss.--Dawg Daze, Mississippi State's annual kick-off festivities for fall semester, will welcome students on Wednesday [Aug. 11] and conclude on Sept. 3 with a Midnight Dawg Rally at the MSU Amphitheater to usher in the 2010 football season.

The 23-day program for incoming university freshmen and transfer students begins Aug. 11, with the 8 a.m.-5 p.m. move-in day, MVNU2MSU, for new campus residence hall occupants. Classes get under way Aug. 18.
In addition to the Division of Student Affairs and its Office of Admissions and Scholarships, program co-sponsors include Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, ARAMARK Campus Dining, Baptist Student Union, Barnes & Noble at MSU, Campus Activities Board, Generation 6:20 Campus Ministries, and the Richard Holmes Cultural Diversity Center. Other sponsors are Inter-Fraternity and Panhellenic councils, MSU Police Department, Office of Recreational Sports, Residence Hall Association, Shackouls Honors College, and the MSU Student Association.
