Mississippi State has planned three electrical power outages in the coming months to install new equipment that will enhance future service and maintenance options on the campus power grid.
The first of the planned outages will take place Friday, March 19, 5-7 a.m.
During the early morning outage on the 19th, TVA and Starkville Electric Department personnel will install a new meter at the main substation on campus.
MSU Facilities Management will remove one of its main transformers from service to install a switch in the circuit.
Campus units with power requirements that cannot be easily mitigated during the planned outage are asked to contact Ralph Nobles at Facilities Management for technical assistance at 662-325-1850 or rnobles@physplant.msstate.edu.
