Staff and students urged to lock offices and cars

The Mississippi State University Police Department is currently working several cases of burglary involving unsecured vehicles as well as unsecured offices. The Police Department is asking for assistance from members of the faculty and student population by encouraging them to always secure their vehicles when parking them on campus. Items of value should not be left in plain view inside a vehicle.

Additionally the Police Department is asking for assistance from members of the faculty and student population by asking individuals to lock the doors to their offices and residence halls. Even if you are going to be gone for a short period of time, you need to make sure that you lock your doors.
