Campus Experiencing Internet Outage

The wide area network link providing connectivity for MSU to the commodity Internet, Internet2, and NLR, as well as connectivity to remote sites such as Meridian, has gone down. It appears to be an issue on the AT&T side of the circuit, and we have engaged AT&T engineers on the problem. We do not yet have an estimated time to repair.

As of 1 p.m., AT&T has determined the fiber has been cut somewhere between Starkville and Greenwood.

2 p.m.: the cut location has been narrowed to somewhere between Winona and Carrollton.
