MSU cricket tourney welcomes regional teams, general public

STARKVILLE, Miss.--Players from Alabama to Texas will be at Mississippi State this weekend when the university's Cricket Club sponsors the 2009 Bulldawg Championship Trophy Tournament.

Opening ceremonies Friday [July 24] get under way at 6:30 p.m. in the Eastman Auditorium of the Swalm Chemical Engineering Building.

Tournament play begins at 9 a.m. Saturday [July 25] at the Intramural Sports Complex, located east of the Wise Center off Blackjack Road.

All events are free and open to all.

In addition to MSU, participating institutions include Auburn, Alabama A&M and Texas A&M universities, along with the universities of Alabama-Huntsville, Memphis and Mississippi.
