After last month's bad weather caused a change in plans, Mississippi State is planning its 131st birthday celebration for April 16 to coincide with Super Bulldog Weekend festivities.
Sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association, the free 11 a.m.-1 p.m. come-and-go campus event commemorates the land-grant institution's 1878 creation by the Mississippi Legislature. Food and entertainment will be provided at the Junction near Davis Wade Stadium.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and area residents are invited to come as their schedules permit for complimentary food and soft drinks and MSU ice cream, while supplies last.
Nash Street, Starkville's nationally prominent musical group, will provide entertainment.
Starkville-based Cadence Bank again is providing corporate sponsorship.
