Six Mississippi State faculty and staff are being honored for high achievements at the conclusion of the university's 2008-09 academic year. McCann, Alumni Association Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award winner.

Miller is the School of Accountancy's academic coordinator.
Monson is an associate professor of architecture.
McCann is an architecture professor.

Giles Distinguished Professor is MSU's highest academic rank.
Named for former faculty member and much-honored student adviser Irvin Atly Jefcoat, the award's faculty and staff winners now are the institution's nominees for national academic advising honors.
The master teacher award is named for MSU alumnus and leading U.S. fiction writer John Grisham.
The undergraduate teaching award is presented by the MSU Alumni Association.
