Momentum is building for the April launch of the MSU Environmental Collaborative Office. MSU ECO will be a catalyst for bringing together a wide range of efforts and ideas to help the university go greener by focusing on the positive economic and environmental impacts that a focused sustainability campaign provides.
"We are pursuing a comprehensive approach that maximizes university resources, minimizes waste and contributes to a greater quality of life," says Prof. Jeremiah Dumas, ASLA, director of the ECO.
ECO is planning a special Earth Day celebration April 22, and it wants to assist other organizations with their Earth Day events and projects, too. Groups planning Earth Day activities are encouraged to send the details to jdumas@gri.msstate.edu or call (662) 325-3852.
