The 2009 conference of the Mississippi Association of International Educators takes place over two days next month at Mississippi State.
With the university's Office of Admissions and Scholarships serving as this year's host, the Feb. 12 and 13 gathering will be held in the Colvard Student Union. The various sessions are scheduled 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. the first day; 8 a.m.-3 p.m. the second day.
The program will focus on such topics as ever-evolving immigration rules and regulations, innovations and best practices for student recruiting, and admission and retention, among others.
Involving both professional educators and students, MAIE represents the public institutions of higher learning, community and junior colleges, high schools, and other organizations that attract students and employees from other nations.
