Much of Mississippi is under a winter storm warning, with flash flood warnings in some parts of Mississippi.
Students are encouraged to make their safety a priority and to remain on campus if their travel route presents potential hazards.
Mississippi State's Housing and Residence Life office, which had planned to close residence halls at 5 p.m. today [Thursday, Dec. 11], will keep residence areas open as needed to accommodate students for whom worsening weather conditions present a potential travel hazard.
