Officials at Mississippi State and the university's Bagley College of Engineering will announce a major private gift Friday [Sept. 12].
The brief campus ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems, which is located adjacent to campus in the Cochran Park.
Given by the foundation of PACCAR, the contribution will have a significant impact on one of the university's oldest academic units.
PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. The company is building a 400,000-square-foot engine plant near Columbus.
