The Mississippi State University Student Association would like to announce that applications for the 2008-2009 Senate are now available.
Members of Student Association Senate are elected to represent a college or place of residence within the university and are considered the voice of the MSU students. Their duty is to make an honest effort to ensure desired changes on campus are accomplished. Senators vote on several university issues, including bills, resolutions, constitutional modifications, the Student Association budget, and presidential appointments.
Applications are now available in the Student Association office in the Colvard Student Union Room 314 or on the Student Association website at http://sa.msstate.edu, and applications are due in the office by 5:00pm on Monday, September 8th. A candidate's interest meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:00pm in the Colvard Student Union Room 226 and elections will be held on Tuesday, September 16th in the Union Dawg House and Mitchell Memorial Library.
The Student Association is located in the Colvard Student Union on the campus of Mississippi State University. It serves as the governing body and liaison between students and university officials.
