STARKVILLE, Miss.--Brett B. Aldridge is the new assistant director of development for Mississippi State's Bagley College of Engineering.
Aldridge comes to the engineering college from the university's Division of Student Affairs, where he has served in a similar position since 2006. He joins Bennett Evans, the academic unit's recently named development director.
Aldridge, a 2005 MSU communication/public relations graduate from Pensacola, Fla., was an account executive with BellSouth in Birmingham, Ala., before joining the MSU Foundation.
"Brett has done a great job advancing the university's Division of Student Affairs and we are confident he will continue to do an outstanding job as he assists with the efforts for private gifts in the Bagley College," said Bo Hemphill, the foundation's executive director.
Enrolling more than 2,500 undergraduate and graduate majors, the Bagley College is one of MSU's two oldest academic programs. In addition to being among some 20 named U.S. engineering colleges, it is listed in the top 10 percent for overall engineering research expenditures--a rank above most other Southeastern Conference schools.
