MSU Libraries celebrate 10 years of family trees

STARKVILLE, MS--Mississippi State University Libraries will play host to heritage on Saturday, June 21st, 2008, beginning at 9:30am with its 10th Annual Genealogy Fair to be held in the auditorium of Mitchell Memorial Library.

Mississippi Department of Archives and History's Anne Webster will be the keynote speaker for day's events, which will also feature tours of the Library and its various exhibits. Sessions on Famiva, multiple research strategies, and breaking the brick wall of genealogy research are also on the program. Additionally, MSU Libraries' Special Collections department will remain open until 5:00pm on the day of the Fair for attendees to continue their research.

Sponsored by the Oktibbeha County Historical and Genealogical Society and the Clay County Historical and Genealogical Society, the 2008 Genealogy Fair is free-of-charge, but registration is limited to 100 attendees.
