Counseling offered after weekend off-campus death

Following the off-campus death of a student Friday [March 7], Mississippi State is making available counseling services to MSU students who are affected, said Dean of Students Mike White.

"We have made contact with the management of the apartment complex to offer the services of our Counseling Center for MSU students," he said. "Although few students are on campus because of spring break this week, we have let apartment officials know the procedures for accessing counseling services."

In addition, White said the Counseling Center will present a program at the complex Monday, March 17.

"We will continue to provide counseling as needed and requested by our students following this tragic event," he said.
