STARKVILLE, Miss.--"Emotional response to scenic creations" is the theme and "Floriscapes" the title of a display being featured through Thanksgiving at Mississippi State's Mitchell Memorial Library.

The six-table exhibit on the third-floor offers proposals for a new university green space to replace a mid-campus section of Lee Boulevard. The area basically encompasses a stretch of the heavily traveled roadway in front of the University Florist.

The presentations developed from a joint student project in classes led by Bob Brzuszek and Jim DelPrince. Brzuszek, an assistant professor of landscape architecture, is teaching basic design, while DelPrince, an associate professor of plant and soil sciences, leads an advanced floral design course.

"Floriscapes" may be viewed during regular library hours.

For more information on the project, contact Brzuszek at 662-325-7896 or rbrzuszek@lalc.msstate.edu; DelPrince, at 325-1965 or jdelprince@pss.msstate.edu.
