STARKVILLE, Miss.--"Looking Back: The Music of the '40s and '50s" and "Hidden Drives" will be dual themes Oct. 9 when a nationally recognized dance troupe performs at Mississippi State's Lee Hall auditorium.
The 7:30 p.m. program featuring the Philadelphia, Pa.-based Koresh Dance Co. launches the university's 2007-08 Lyceum Series.

Founded in 1991 by Ronen Koresh, the high-energy artistic exploration molds ballet with modern and jazz dance to create a style described by the Israeli-born choreographer and artistic director as "eloquent and explosive."
"Looking Back," the program's first half, will feature pieces set to the music of Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and other giants of the Big Band era.
"Hidden Drives" will incorporate selections from the company's eclectic repertoire of more than 50 works.
The Philadelphia Inquirer, the group's hometown newspaper, has praised the show's creativity and style, saying "There is something for everyone in Koresh's exhilarating performances."
